:. Introduction .:

When it comes to choosing a heatsink, there numerous available brands. From your stock aluminum heatsink to your heavy duty all copper heatsink, which also require that you have four holes in the motherboard. Manufacturers are also working on heatsinks for both overclockers and people who would like their computer to run quietly. There is a large selection of products you can purchase to adjust your fan speed, and make it fast when required and slower to make it quiet. Well, if you are interested in this then Coolermaster has just the right heat sink for you. You are not required to purchase anything else to adjust the speed of the fan, the HSC-V62 adjusts the speed of the fan automatically and when more air is needed the fan will speed up.

The HSC-V62 has a very nicely constructed box where you can clearly see the heat sink and its skived fins. The skived fin technology is a process where fins are sliced from a solid chunk of copper or aluminum and they do this by taking a blade, shaving a slice out, and repeating the process for the whole heat sink. The great thing about this is that there is no soldering involved and because no soldering is involved, this will make the heat sink cheaper and also the quality will be higher.

Some of the great features in the HSC-v62 is the perfect bottom, its so perfectly flat, smooth and shiny its just wonderful to see a company go into such detail and also this has to be the best shine and flatness I have never seen such quality on a heatsink. The other very nice feature Cooler Master has included is the tool-less mounting design that is very easy to use. The only bad thing I can think of is that it sticks out a lot and if you have a tight case you might not have enough room to use this simple and effective mounting design.

The fan on this HSC-V62 is one of the great things on this heatsink and something other companies should think about. Since it has this small thermostat in it, that's  what controls the fan how fast to run and how much CFM to pump out during your normal pc use. Its automatic so you don't have the burden of playing around with the fan.

"The thermal sensor actually protrudes from below the fan motor so it is in the region which isn't directly cooled by the fans intake air; this way, the thermal sensor can detect the temperature of the top of the heat sink precisely."
