:. PSU Mod From Lux Design .:

I always wanted to make a window and mod my power supply but I never actually went through with it. However, now you can purchase a ready-to-install mod for your power supply that is actually very easy to install and looking very professional. If you have a window in your computer and you can see the power supply then this mod is perfect for you. But if you don't have a window in your case then you will make one as soon as you see this modded power supply.

When I received my PSU Mod it looked very basic: just a regular piece nice light blue acrylic. But you also get four strips of black double sided tape and one black tie wrap that you can use to organize the cable inside the power supply. Lastly, the instructions Lux Design includes are very detailed and written in such a manner that makes them very easy to understand.

Before I took the top cover off from my Enermax EG465P-VE, I had a closer look at the acrylic. It became clear to me that it will add some extra height to the power supply because of it's thickness and I would say they should use thinner acrylic in the future because there will be a lot of people that wont be able to use this Mod because it just wont fit in there case. Next, I started to get to work. The installation was quite easy but make sure you try the PSU Mod on the power supply before you put the tape on and make sure everything will fit! Be sure to practice because once you put the tape on, you don't get a second chance to move it around because that tape is very strong.

My reaction once it was done was: "WOW!" It looks really cool and its pretty nice being able to look inside your power supply, especially into mine because all the heat sinks are gold.
